Getting Shredded

Yesterday I completed day 25 of the 30 Day Shred! I also moved on to Level 3!

And yes, I am still loving it - except when I can barely pick up my baby because my shoulders are so sore :)

Jeremiah has started to do his "workout" during the day as well, complete with his versions of stretching, sit-ups, push-ups, jumping jacks and "weight-training." I need to get a video of that. It is hilarious.

Full summary to follow when the 30 days are up - only five days to go!

30 Day Shred

I have never been able to stick with a workout plan or diet of any sort.

Until now.

Maybe I shouldn't speak this soon but I am nine days into the 30 Day Shred and it is so hard and I love it! It also helps that all the girls in our small group are doing it (on our own) so I don't feel like I'm alone!

First of all, we are fans of the Biggest Loser already so it's fun to be "training" with Jillian even if Bob is usually my favorite trainer on the show.

Secondly, the moves are not super complicated (which is good because I usually feel totally uncoordinated trying to follow workout videos) but they REALLY work you!
Thirdly, each workout is only 20 minutes so I can get it done while the kids are eating snack or napping.

And lastly, this video works out ALL of you. I can honestly say that every part of my body has ached, but in a mostly good way, at some point since starting. The video has a circuit format -three minutes of strength, two minutes of cardio and one minute of abs - repeated three times. There are also three different level workouts. I did Level 1 for six days and I am now on Level 2 and it is intense.

The Shred is kicking my butt, but I love it and I highly recommend it.
On the other hand, maybe you want to check back with me in 30 days :)
