One Body

I have been connecting with many wonderful new people lately.

Through church, MOPS, blogs, Twitter...

They are moms, wives, writers, crafters and so on.

And the majority of them are fellow sisters in Christ.

I lay in bed last night thinking about this:

I read wonderful, uplifting, challenging posts, quotes and tweets daily from these women. Quite often, they are life-changing for me. God is using these women in powerful ways in their sphere of influence.

And I have never once wondered about their denomination or church affiliation.

TOTALLY how God wants it, in my opinion.

The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:12-13

Sure we have our differences - but we share the most important thing in common.

We are ONE BODY in Christ.

And I, for one, am enjoying the support and encouragement that comes with being part of that ONE BODY.

  1. Very true! Sometimes I wonder about the denomination of others, but I really shouldn't. Being of one body is enough.

  2. AMEN! I have loved connecting with you!

  3. Awesome post! Blogs & Twitter make our body pretty big...it's great.

  4. Usually I'm surprised when I do learn of my Christian bloggy friends' denominations. They are never what I expect that denomination to "be like." I guess? But yeah it's great.

  5. Nicely put! Beautiful blog, btw!

  6. Amen, beautifully said, and can't agree more! :)

  7. Awesome how right you are!

    Can't wait to meet you!

  8. Absolutely, well said. And just as these women are influencing your life, so you are influencing others. Your words will touch and inspire others. They just inspired me.

  9. I was thinking about this very same thing recently! I have 'met' so many *beautiful* hearts (YOU included) and I am sure we are from all different backgrounds, but that never matters! I think that is just wonderful!!

Thank you for visiting our home! I love reading your comments, so write away...
