One Year Ago...

We started on this crazy journey.

Stephen entered medical school, I entered life as a stay-at-home mom and we started this blog to tell you all about it.

And it's been a good year. A great year. Too many blessings to count.

But here are a few (I know I'll miss something) ...

-Our house NOT selling - a blessing in disguise at the time.

-Time with my children every day in their formative years.

-Wonderfully supportive friends and family.

-Safe travels to and from school for Stephen every day. And him being home by 5:30 most nights.

-Great "study buddies" for him who also have young families.

-A rather significant scholarship for this school year that was pretty unexpected. Praise the Lord! SO proud of you honey!

-Getting involved with MOPS - more on that in a coming post.

-Fabulous family, friend and couple vacations - we all need a good getaway!

-Connecting with lots of wise, creative and fun people through the world of blogs - I had no idea!

-Constant signs and encouragement from the Lord that we're on the right track.

Thank you Jesus for all this and more.

Here's to another great year!

  2. Erin, your post gave me goosebumps. It's soooo easy to get caught up in the complaining and hardships of being the spouse of a medical student/resident/doctor. Thanks for reminding me to look at the blessings we have found here in Omaha (we have tons!) and being so positive! I'm so glad we met! :)
