Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. 1 Chronicles 29:11
The leaves on our bush are still green - defying the freshly fallen snow that blanket them in mid-October. And although the snow seemed out of place, I remembered this verse...
As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:9-11
Awesome passage. Just another reminder of how huge our God is.
ReplyDeleteLove this post! We may not always see the reason in things... but they achieve the purpose for which they were sent. Thank you for sharing this for your 'glimpse' this week!!
